On May 16th Mos Def joined John Legend, Lenny Kravitz, Ani DeFranco and a slew of other local musicians including Allen Toussaint and Dr. John at Mardi Gras World in New Orleans to raise money for those affected by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Mos Def debuted his cover of New Orleans favorite “It Ain’t My Fault” which he recorded with Kravitz and New Orleans’ Trombone Shorty, in response to the failure of BP to take full responsibility for the accident.

Downtown Music Publishing artists Miike Snow, Rusko, and Major Lazer will be in Indio, California this coming weekend for Coachella! Be sure to catch them live!
DMP will also be at Lollapalooza this year with performances from The Walkmen and Rusko. The festival takes place August 6th-8th at Grant Park in Chicago.
Brett Dennen partnered up with Livestream to broadcast his 2010 New Year’s Eve performance at the Fox Theater in Oakland, presented by Life is good and Another Planet Entertainment. ALO and several local musicians and DJs joined Brett on NYE to kick off 2010 in the Bay Area. Brett also interacted with fans on Livestream with a special Q+A session from rehearsals on December 30th. Watch for yourself and enjoy!!
