“Home Sweet Home” is a song by the American glam metal band Mötley Crüe, and is one of the first examples of a power ballad. Originally released on the band’s 1985 album, Theatre of Pain, the song was accompanied by a music video which documented the band’s undertakings over the course of several concerts. The song ranks #12 on VH1’s chart of The Greatest Power Ballads of All Time.

“Hospital Beds” is a single written by indie rock band Cold War Kids, taken from their debut album Robbers & Cowards. It was covered by soul-inspired indie group Florence & The Machine in June 2008. “Hospital Beds” was released on April 23, 2007, and was featured in an episode of Comedy Central’s sitcom Scrubs.

“7 Things” is a song by American pop singer Miley Cyrus, and is the first single from her second studio album, Breakout. The song was written by Downtown Music Publishing’s own Antonina Armato, Tim James, and Miley Cyrus. It was released on June 17, 2008 in the United States and in the United Kingdom on November 3, 2008.

“7 Things” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, at #4 on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs (selling 160,000 copies), and No. 8 on the UK Singles chart. The song sold over 1,400,000 downloads, and is featured in Harmonix’s video game Karaoke Revolution.

“37 Stitches” is a song by alternative metal band / Eleven Seven artist Drowning Pool, and the third single from their album Full Circle.

It was written by band members Ryan McCombs, C.J. Pierce, Stevie Benton, and Mike Luce. “37 Stiches” has become their highest-charting single to date, reaching #5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts and surpassing their smash hit “Bodies” which peaked at #6.

“See You Again” is a song performed by American pop sensation Miley Cyrus. The song is the second official single from her debut solo album Hannah Montana 2 / Meet Miley Cyrus. It is written and produced by Miley Cyrus, Antonina Armato, and Tim James. “See You Again” was Cyrus’ first song to make it on the top ten chart for the Billboard Hot 100, and paved the way for others such as “7 Things” and “The Climb.”

“Confusion” is a single released by British electronic group New Order in August of 1983. The song is produced by influential New York DJ Arthur Baker. “Confusion” appears on Substance 1987, and reappeared on the 1995 remix collection, The Rest of New Order, as a radical acid techno remix from Pump Panel. It is also featured in the film Blade.

“With Every Beat of My Heart” is a song by Taylor Dayne, and the lead single from her second album Can’t Fight Fate. It was written by Arthur Baker, Tommy Faragher, and Lotti Golden. The single became Dayne’s fifth consecutive Top Ten Single in the United States, peaking at number five.

“Meet Me Halfway” is the third single off the latest album, The E.N.D., from Black Eyed Peas. It is written by Keith Harris, Allan Pineda, William Adams, Stacy Ferguson, Downtown Music Publishing’s own Sylvia Gordon, J. Baptiste and Jaime Gomez, and the song went to #1 in the UK on November 15, 2009.

Fergie told the Daily Mail that when she was recording her vocals for “Meet Me Halfway,” she “transported herself back to 1985, when she was 10 and saw Madonna in concert for the first time on the Virgin tour. She took on Madonna’s persona in that song as an homage.” Elements of the song, namely the melody during the bridge, are taken from Cyndi Lauper’s song “Time After Time”.
